A warm and colourful person just like her favorite butterflies! I have always been in awe of her creations.. be it the beautifully stamped cards or the colouring or the use of glitter! She has also always been "The Pioneer Woman" of Indian crafting :). We all love her and this blog hop just shows how many people want to wish her all happiness!

Magic Box

Hello there!

Going by the comments on the previous post, I know I am not in many people's memories :( but I still decided to update the blog today. I haven't done any crafting for a month and definitely not blogged for longer. Here is an explosion box that I created for an aunt's 50th birthday:

The explosion:

And a close up view:

The ideas are inspired by Pinterest mostly. The empty squares are for pictures and favorite moments of her special day. She loves handmade cards and items so this was the best gift I could think up for her.

I am submitting this "Magic Box" for the September Challenge up at the Itsy Bitsy blog - the Big B challenge - and my project uses 2 of the 4 Bs - Bling and Bow. It feels nice to take part in a challenge after months!

The glitter strips are Pie Lane; buttons are from my stash; Papers are Echo Park and Pink Paisley.

See you around...

A little bit of this and that...

Hi all...

I am not sure how many of you still drop by and how many remember me :) I have been super busy of late and haven't found the time to craft! Till recently, that is.... Just completed a small set on order and realised I am losing touch with speed and accuracy :( and finding it difficult to remember what I have been doing :(

Anyway, here are snapshots from the latest:

A house card cum gift box, a couple of adaptations of Laura's "All Aboard" mini and some cards (not in the pictures).

Hoping to come by more often now...

Crafting after a long time

Hello there people,

I am here after long. A lot has changed since I last blogged, I s'pose. I haven't been crafting at all of late so when I did create something I had to share. No papercraft project here though...

I finally made a diaper cake after longing to make one for someone for so long! :-p I made it for my cousin's wife's baby shower. She is expecting twins (and we don't know the gender of the babies yet) so it was a multi color cake :).

I was very excited since this was my first ever diaper cake and I am glad the recipients loved it! :)

That's from me.... a big hullooooo to all my crafty friends whom I haven't chatted up with in so very long!!

Ciao,
Smita

Tipsy well card

Who hasn't seen the awesome projects done by Dr.Sonia at her blog. My son, Aaryan, and I are in awe of her creations and even yesterday we were ogling at her work! :)) He had a birthday party to attend in the evening and though initially we hadn't intended to give a card, we thought we'd tweak the wishing well in Dr. Sonia's post and make something 3D. Pardonnez-moi the extremely terrible photos...

We didn't put in much effort... just made it using paper from the DCWV Nana's Kids/Nursery pack and added some buttons and stickers. It was a very quick card and didn't really look as hopeless as it does in the pictures :D

Ciao,
Smita
