hi smita thanks for dropping by - about the cake you could cook apple,purée it and use apple purée. or mashed overripe bananas, or carrot purée. but if you decide not to use any of these - then u need 2/3 cup oil.
I just reduced the oil and subd with avocado - thinking that since its a high calorie fatty fruit it should work. if you find a supermarket selling avocado then do pick up a ripe one for the cake. as in it should be soft to touch. will give you a better purée.
