Card Patterns 76

If you are looking for my 2S4Y card, please scroll down to the next post.

This card is based on the Card Patterns sketch this week. It is a lovely sketch with room for loads of layers. Of course I loved it… both the sketch and my card (ahem… ain’t I modest!?) Ok, I did smudge some ink on the edges of the vellum L

The background (over the beige CS) is printed vellum that I have embossed using the Textile Texture embossing folder. It looks better IRL than in the pic though. I have embossed the orange scallop layer also with the same folder…

The gorgeous stamp is Inkadinkado. I just love the ornate circular medallions and the everyday sentiments in this set.

Do you know, I am using my clear stamps without any acrylic/transparent blocks! :-( I am finding it very difficult to stamp... Can someone suggest replacements to a block (since I can't figure out where to look for a block around here)?

Till later,,,
Smita

How about using a piece of glass...from a photo frame...as your block for your clear stamps?

  7. This is fab! love the embossed vellum..I see that your'e having fun with your bug..so cool..

I use a CD case for my bigger stamps, had brought a acrylic block from Hobby ideas when they had it..now they don't!! Or even those outdated Cassette boxes, since they give a better grip than CD cases!

  13. Very cute!!
When I'm lazy I just grab a PTI case which is a CD case. But it is hard to see through sometimes and is flimsy.

  14. Smita, this is absolutely gorgeous! I love the doily effect for the sentiment and the printed vellum is beautiful!

Can you find any plexiglass? Schools sometimes use it for art or shop classes. Another option is the bottom of a not-so-thick water glass? Best of luck finding a block replacement!
